Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery East by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Mrs. Ashford was born July 29, 1948, in Plainview to George and Mabel Candler. She graduated from Canyon High School and later earned an associate's degree from Amarillo College.
She married Weldon Ashford on July 11, 1976, in New Braunfels. She worked in banking for many years. Peggy enjoyed all types of crafts and craft shows.
She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband; her mother-in-law, Helen Ashford of Carlsbad, N.M.; and her special four-legged companions, "Stubby" and "Pepper."
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
