"E.A." Clark had many occupations. He began as a sheep farmer and at one time was a Chevrolet auto dealer. He owned several gas stations in Michigan. Selling lightning rods for the Security Lightning Rod Co. gave him a job as a traveling salesman. After moving to Las Vegas, NV, he became a realtor and built the Mayfair Tract, which was the first track of houses in the town. It was between 15th and 18th streets, close to the Boulder Highway. His real estate office was on Third Street, just off of Fremont. Edmund and his wife, Adeline's home was on 19th street, where he built the Clark Inn motel.
