Coshocton Tribune, 4 Jan 1971, B Section--Mrs. David L. Mirise, 64, Land O'Lakes, Fla., a native of Coshocton County, died at 2:30pm Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, Land O'Lakes. Edith Catherine Emig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry F. Emig, both deceased, was born on May 25, 1906, in Jackson Twp. She graduated from the old Roscoe High School in 1918. She was married in July 1927, to Mr. Mirise, who survives. Other survivors are a brother, Robert H. Emig, Cambridge, and three sisters, Mrs. G. E. (Grace) Burky, Newcomerstown Route 3, Mrs. Stella Stickrath, Coshocton, and Miss Rachel Emig, Coshocton Route 1. One brother is deceased. Mr. and Mrs. Mirise moved to Florida shortly after World War II. Funeral arrangements in charge of Blounts Funeral Home, Lutz, Fla., are incomplete. Burial will be in a Lutz cemetery. Mrs. Stickrath and Miss Rachel Emig will attend services in Florida. ----------16 Jan 1940, Coshocton Tribune----Held for Stealing Slot Machine-----Coshocton, OhioFour young men were held in city prison Monday pending filing of charges after they carried a slot machine and a cigaret vending machine from the Mirise service station, Warsaw Rd., Sunday night. The four are Clarence Longstreth, 23; Henry Clary, 31; Elmer A. Lower, 24; and Raymond Crilour, 29, all of near Millersburg.The quartet appeared at the filling station shortly before 8pm, ordering sandwiches from the lunch counter and after eating, picked up the machines and started away with them.Mrs. David Mirise had been in the kitchen and when she came back into the station, followed the four to the car, demanding return of the machines. She was shoved away from the automobile, she said. After the quartet had left in the direction of Warsaw, Sheriff Jay Abbott was called and the Sheriff accompanied by officer Harry Davis took over the car near that village. The four mad no resistance and were brought to city jail. They had thrown the machines from the car enroute to Warsaw.
