GLORIA O'CONNELL RAIBLE, 82, of Little Rock, affectionately knownas "Beanie" to hundreds of Central Arkansas Girl Scouts, died July 15, 2008. She had been a registered Girl Scout for 50 years, serving as Master Trainer, troop leader, Service Unit Chair, cookie chair, Day Camp Director,and 10 years as Business Manager for resident camps, Camp Storey and Camp Storeywood. She received many awards and recognitions, including the Thanks Badge and the Juliette Lowe Award, and was elected to the Ouachita Girl Scout Council Hall of Fame.

She was born in Little Rock, November 8, 1925, to Daniel G. and Lou M. O'Connell and attended Mt. Saint Mary's and was graduated from Little Rock (Central) High School, and later from UALR. On February 15, 1947, she married Raymond W. Raible.

She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and active in their Altar Society, a member of, and ushered for, the Arkansas Orchestra Society Guild and the Friends of the Rep.

She was predeceased by her parents and husband, and is survived by her son, Mark Riable (Kathy) and daughters, Sandy Gharahgozlou (Joe) and Laura Raible, and six grandchildren, Med, Brook, Sha, Justin, Michelle, and Robert Ray.
