ROBERT W. MERRILL

Robert W. Merrill, 76, of Pilot Point, died at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at Flow Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today at the Pilot Point First Baptist Church. Burial was to have been in Masonic Cemetery there under direction of Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Merrill was born Dec. 24, 1889, in New Orleans, La. He had been a resident of Denton County for 34 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Pilot Point First Baptist Church. Mr. Merrill was a retired electrician. He was married to Leah Buster in Dallas Sept. 2, 1922.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Mrs. Leona Garrett of Denton and Mrs. Winnifred Rollins of Monahans; brothers, E. E. Merrill of Dallas and L. W. Merrill of Berkeley, Calif.; a sister, Myrtis L. Merrill of Philadelphia, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
