BLUEFIELD — Alma M. Morris, 61, of Route 2, Bluefield, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 at her home.
Born April 21, 1947 at Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Lucille Tabor Smith.
Alma was a member of the Ceres Baptist Church in Green Valley where she served as choir director and director of the Vacation Bible School.She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors: Husband of 20 years, Darryl Eugene Morris of Bluefield; son, Larry Sexton and wife Kimberly of Princeton; grandson, Jesse Sexton of Princeton; sister, Anita Smith of Ceres; brothers, Glen Smith, Jr. and wife Diane of Maple Acres, James A. Smith and wife Margaret of Ada Road, Harold Smith of Ceres.
A service to celebrate the life of Alma will be held from the Ceres Baptist Church in Green Valley with Pastor James Mooney officiating.
Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Wednesday one hour prior to services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that contributions be made to the Ceres Baptist Church, Rt. 2 Box 187, Bluefield, WV 24701
Pallbearers will be Glen Smith, Anthony Smith and John Sizemore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Burdette of San Angelo, Texas and Bob Stone of Los Angeles, Calif.
The Morris family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
