Reginald Odell Charles died on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the age of 79. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at the Church of Glad Tidings in Austin. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Pallbearers were: Bob Smith, Scott Grube, Chris Anderson, Jerry Haynes, Andy Rowe, Mike Kelly, Jim Sanders, John Reynolds, and Michael Houston.
He was born in Round Rock on November 10, 1928 in Tracy, Texas. His parents were Bernice Marlin and Wavy Davis (McBurnett) Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, John Davis Charles.He is survived by his wife, Leola Charles of Round Rock; sister-in-law, Lisa Charles of The Woodlands; nephews, Johnny and David Charles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Church of Glad Tidings in Austin. Arrangements were under the direction of Beck Funeral Home in Round Rock.
