Elige Baker died Thursday, May 17, at his home in Elk Valley at the age of 89. He is survived by the wife, Mrs. Jane Baker; two sons, Odos and Odom, both of Elk Valley; one daughter, Mrs. Viola Silcox of Elk Valley; one brother, Milt Baker of Caryville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Elk Fork Baptist Church with Rev. John Ford and Rev. L. C. Bridges officiating. Interment in Valley View Cemetery. Martin's of Lake City in charge.
