Obituary - Our beloved mother and grandmother, Amanda Josephine Benson Foote Chambers, 83, died May 6, 1997.
She was born September 7, 1913 in Pleasant Green, Utah to John Hilmer and Ellen Maria Harkness Benson. She married Clair Leslie Foote, July 22, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, he died August 27, 1971. She married John (Tal) Chambers, March 12, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he died January 26, 1981.
She was a member of the LDS Church where she was active in church auxiliaries. She was also a member of the DUP. She enjoyed and was active in the Magna Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her children; Leslie E. (Ilene) Foote, Garry A. (Georgia) Foote, Wayne D. Foote, Bernice (Joseph) Pinelle, Robert E. (Jody) Foote, and Laurence T. (Robyn) Chambers; 30 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dean L. (Joan) Benson and Earl (Mary Lou) Benson; brothers-in-law, Arnold Beckstead and Don (Bernice) Bawden; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, LaVern Humes. Preceded in death by four sisters, one brother, daughter-in-law, Trudy Foote and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, 1997 at 12 noon at the Pleasant Green 2nd Ward, 8739 W. 3000 So. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 So., Magna, and Friday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
