David W. Rogers
Woodruff -- David W. (Dave) Rogers, 94, retired farmer of the Greenpoint Community, died at his home at 7:15 p. m. Monday after a week's illiness.
He is the son of the late Mosey and Eliza West Rogers. He was a member of the Cedar Shoals Baptist Church for 56 years.
Surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. B. C. Rogers, Mrs. Jim Boyter and Mrs. J. D. Lee; one son, Mammon Rogers, all of Woodruff: 30 grandchildren; 48 great-grand children and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p. m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church near Roebuck. The Revs. C. B. Prince, C. L. Boyter and J. H. Theo will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Lawrence Pearson, A. W. Neal, Wirron Rogers, Ben Rogers, C. A. Rogers and E. C. Switzer.
Honorary pallbearers wil be deacons of the Bethlehem and Greenpoint Baptist churches and W. P. Gaston, S. E. Wright, J. W. Meal, L. R. Pearson, T. G. Rogers, L. W. Rogers, J. G. Phillips, J. A. Reynolds, Tom Drummond and Moss Mitchell.
After 3 p. m. Tuesday the body will be at the home of his son, Mammom Rogers of Greenpoint Community.
