Services Being Held Saturday for Jake Langer

Funeral services are being held at St. Joseph's church, Pierz, at 10, Saturday morning for Jake Langer, 56, who passed away Tuesday, April 15th at 5:30 a.m., at St. Gabriel's hospital. He was admitted to the hospital Monday evening after a heart attack. He suffered his frist stroke five and one-half years ago, and had been in declining health since.

Interment was in St. Joseph's cemetery, Pierz.

He was born in Agram April, 1902 and lived a lifetime at this present home, and engaged in farming. He was the son of John Langer. His marriage to Verena Flicker took place at St. Joseph's church, Pierz, April 18, 1932.

Surviving are his wife and five children, Mrs. Norman Saehr (Renee), St. Cloud; Arlyn, Minneapolis; William, serving in the Army in Germany; and Gerald and Marjorie at home. There is one grandchild. One child preceded him in death.

Brothers and sisters include Peter and Joe, Spalding, Nebraska; Mrs. Peter Sauer (Catherine), Sauk Rapids; and Mrs. A. H. VonderHaar, International Falls, Minn.
