Thomas Frank Buchan Jr. 88, was born Oct. 31, 1919, died July 14, 2008. He
was the son of Elise Josephine and Thomas Frank Buchan, Sr."Buck" (both deceased).
He was the grandson of Martha and L.P. Wescott, both deceased, who had the first
plastered house in Orlando on Lake Eola.
He married Edna M. McCormick (deceased) of Orlando. They were married 62
years. He served in WWII as a Seaman 1st Class on the ship USS LSTT985. He
worked for Orlando Motors and Massey Grindle Dodge. He loved fishing, hunting and
camping. He was a wonderful father to Patricia A. Cooper, Shirley E. Durden, Thomas
Frank Buchan III, Earl Gray Buchan, and Margaret E. Pooler. He had 15 grandchildren,
31 great grandchildren, and 2 gg-grandchildren. He died peacefully at his home in
Winter Garden, Orange County, Florida, with the care of Hospice Samaritan Care.
Memorial will be held Sat. July 19, at 2:00 PM at the Beulah Baptist Church, Winter Garden.
