Thomas Daniel "Dan" Boyce, 75, husband of Ruby Shaw Boyce, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Laurens County Hospital.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Porter T. and Alma Mae Baker Boyce. He was a retired insurance agent and was a member of Laurens Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepsons, Thomas Bridgers and wife, Debora, of Anderson, and David Whitlock of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, P.T. Boyce Jr. of Florence; five sisters, Pearline Outlaw and Ellen Hodge, both of Sumter, Betty Poland of Ft. Collins, Colo., Mildred Burress of Wedgefield, and Margie Rogers of Joanna; and five stepgrandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles T. Boyce.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Revs. Brian Brock and Floyd Brewer, with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Laurens Pentecostal Holiness Church, 26 Wallace St., Laurens, SC 29360.
