He was born June 28, 1923, in Duncansville, son of the late Edward M. and Mabel (Webb) Plowman.
He is survived by a son, Mark of Charleroi; a brother, Edward of Hollidaysburg; and his best friend, John Walls.
Robert was a devout Christian and strong in his faith.
He retired from Conrail as a machinist/welder after more than 30 years of service. He graduated from Hollidaysburg High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1947-49, during WWII, in the European Theater and Africa.
He enjoyed fishing, carpentry and helping others.
Arrangements by Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, PA. Friends received afternoon and evening Wednesday, and the funeral service held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 17, 2008 at the funeral home . Interment will be in Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville, PA.
