Graveside services for Ida Leona Ford Taliaferro, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Born on April 12, 1920, in Hewitt, Okla., to Frank E. and Bertha Kerr Ford, she died on Dec. 20, 2005, at a local health care facility after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Milton Taliaferro, on Sept. 5, 1985. They were married on July 5, 1942, in Springer. She was also preceded by her parents; three brothers, Francis Marion Ford, Howard Evans Ford and James Eugene Ford; a sister, Mildred Quanita Kyle Morgan; and a great-grandson, Aaron Blake Chester.

A resident of Ardmore most of her life, she was a homemaker of many talents who loved to cook and sew. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Deanna Lee Peery and husband, Gene, Ardmore, and Deborah Ellen Davis and husband, Tommy, Marietta; four grandchildren, Angelina Michelle Harris and husband, Ardmore, Anthony Lee Peery and wife, Ardmore, Amy Elizabeth Gray and husband, Marietta, and Jeffery Scott Davis, U.S. Army stationed in Baghdad, Iraq; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
