Standard-Examiner (Ogden, UT) - May 31, 2001 Deceased Name: Alma Anderson UINTAH -- Alma Anderson, 91, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at a local care center.

He was born December 31, 1909 in Uintah, a son of Anders and Alma Johansen Anderson.

On March 7, 1946, Alma married Alva Hunsaker in Rawlins, Wyoming.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Alva preceded him in death on December 3, 1983.

He was reared and educated in Uintah.

Alma was a member of the Uintah 1st LDS Ward. He served as Bishop, High Priest Group Leader, and on the Stake High Council. Alma enjoyed attending the temple.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U. S. Army.

He retired from Defense Depot Ogden where he worked as a crane operator.

Alma enjoyed gardening and taking his grandchildren camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are one son, Neil H. (Alice) Thompson, Uintah; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Alma is also survived by one brother and one sister, Wando (Alona) Anderson, Overton, Nev.; Molly Alberts, North Ogden; and one half-brother, Arthur Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, two half-brothers, one half-sister, one daughter, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Uintah 1st Ward Chapel, 6660 South 1725 East, with Bishop Larry Asay officiating.

Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Ward Chapel 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
