Grace Smith, 89, Pateros, died at a Brewster nursing home Wednesday.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1886, in the Palouse country. In 1893 she and her parents moved to the Bridgeport area where they homesteaded.
She married Everett Smith in 1905 in Bridgeport and had since made her home in the Pateros area.
Surviving are a daughter, Bessie Spurgeon, Brewster; a brother, John Dicus, Tonasket; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One son, a daughter and her husband preceded her in death.
Services were held Saturday, January 22 at 2 pm at the Pateros Cemetery. Arrangements by Barnes Funeral Home, Brewster.
