Mrs. Ethel M. Rosentreter, 86, of 1101 E. Coolspring Ave., Michigan City, IN., died Monday March 15, 2004, at 5:45 a.m. at the Arbors Nursing Center, Michigan City, IN.

She was born February 24, 1918 in Magoffin Co., Kentucky to Dona and Polly (Joseph) Allen, and had lived in the LaPorte area most of her life.

Mrs. Rosentreter worked at American Home Foods for 16 years and retired in 1980 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsbury, IN.

On June 29, 1974 in Elizabethtown, KY, she married Walter Rosentreter, who preceded in death June 12, 1986.

Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Michaels of Union Mills, IN., and Mary Rose (Jim) Mardis of Elizabethtown, KY.; two sons, Clyde C. (Linda) Bradley of Michigan City, IN. and Garland Y. (Barbara) Bradley of South Bend, IN.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Otto (Betty) Allen of Hamlet, IN. and Henry J. Shead of Murray, KY.

Preceded in death are her mother Polly Lutzy; father Dona Allen; two brothers, Otis Allen and Ray Allen; first husband Clyde Bradley; second husband, Milton Greed; and third husband, Walter Rosentreter.

A graveside service will be Wednesday March 17, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tracy Cemetery, Tracy, IN. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Northern Indiana Chapter, South Bend, IN.
