Dorothy Nielsen Searle, age 72, died on February 25, 1990 in a Tooele Hospital.


Born April 7, 1917 in Garfield, Utah to Andrew Wilford and Laura Johnson Nielsen.


Married Stanley L. Searle on May 22, 1937; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 21, 1949; he died in 1963. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served as the Regional Dance Director. Owned Dorothy Searle Dance Studio since 1940. Loved teaching children tap, jazz, ballet and ballroom dancing.


Survived by sons, Jack Searle and wife Betty, Tooele; David N. Searle and wife Sherry; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Floyd and Hollis Nielsen; sisters Jennie Verl Keefer and Norma Franks.


Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 1990 at 1 p.m. in the Tooele Seventh Ward Chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
