JEFF COOPER, aged 58, who has resided in this county for half a century, went to the St. Mary's Infirmary in Cairo last Saturday to undergo a surgical operation of which was too severe and collapsed Sunday. Mr. Cooper lived about 6 miles north of this city and leaves many friends besides three children, two sons and one daughter, to mourn his death. His wife passed over the river of death some 12 years ago. He was a native of Alabama. His remains were laid to rest in the Dogwood Cemetery Wednesday.
