Wife of James E. Bearden

BEARDEN, DORIS L., age 82, resided a number of years in Cahaba Heights with husband, James E. Bearden, Sr. They moved to a new residence in Shelby County for approximately 30 years, when her husband, James preceded her in death. Mrs. Bearden relocated to reside in Oliver Crossing at Leeds for approximately eight years. She passed away at Fair Haven Retirement Home. She was a member of the Crosshaven Community Church. Mrs. Bearden was the mother of seven children preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Fay Bearden. Survived by six living children, Patsy Gray of Leeds, James E. Bearden, Jr. (Buddy and wife, Mary Ann) of Eastwood Area, Margaret Mickle (husband, Don) of Indian Springs, Jereld W. Bearden (wife, Melissa-deceased) of Wilsonville, Donald W. Bearden (wife, Teresa) of Leeds and Randy L. Bearden (wife, Terri) of Calera. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Birdie Stronge, and Ann Sue Bigham; three brothers, Edgar Langston, Wallace Langston and Jimmy Langston. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, with a burial memorial at the Methodist (StandPipe) Cemetery in Cahaba Heights.
