Neils Daniel "Andy" Andersen, 84, Idaho Falls resident and businessman, died September 19, 1995, at his home following a lingering illness.
He was born April 2, 1911 at Union, Utah to Neils and Sigrid Jorgina Berg Andersen. The family moved to Murray, Utah when he was a small boy, where he attended schools and worked for his father as a carpenter's assistant.
He grew up in the Salt Lake area and graduated from Jordan High School. He married Lois Parduhn, May 8, 1935, in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized in in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in March of 1938.
In the 1950's he and his wife bought the Greyhound franchise for Idaho Falls. He worked with Greyhound for 50 years before retiring in 1980. He was a life member of the Elk's Lodge and served as Exalted Ruler in the Idaho Falls Lodge. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lois of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Conroy (Arlene) Adams, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Darwin (Judy) Christensen, Sandy; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 1995 at the Idaho Falls LDS 4th Ward Chapel, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop James G. Chandler officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Coltrin Colonial Mortuary on Friday, September 22, 1995, and again at the church for one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Burial will be in the South Jordan Cemetery at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
