Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Sunday in Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Velma lived in Granbury with her son, Terry, and daughter-in-law, Patti. Prior to that, her home was Littlefield, from which she made many memories and lifelong friends. In her earlier years, Velma was a fashionable businesswoman, starting her career at Cobbs Department Store and moving on to Little's Ready to Wear, both of which enticed and prepared her for her most prideful venture of opening her own store, The Fashion House.
She made such a positive impact on all her family's lives and will live on in their hearts and memories.
Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Patti Smith; and her granddaughters, Kimberly Smith and Krissy Ward.
