This is Thadias Alonzo, the son of James L. Alexander and Salena Holden of Pickens District South Carolina. T. Alonzo first married Emma Adeline Murphree the daughter of Daniel Ellis and Hannah Rimple Stephens. She died 28 Sep 1899 and is buried at Old Mount Moriah Cemetery in Murphree Valley. Alonzo is the grandson of William L. Alexander and Ann Beeson Lewis, and the g-grandson of Daniel and Mary the trunk of the Pickens, South Carolina Alexander tree. The 12 Sep 1894 estate settlement for grandfather William states that James, the father is dead (He died in the Civil War) but left four sons; Julius Harrison, Waxahatcie, Texas and Thadias Alonzo, William Abner, and James all of the Nix Community, Etowah County, Alabama. Alonzo 2nd married Sarah Laomer McWaters about 1901. They had seven sons and three daughters born between 1902 and 1918. M. Ethel, Currie M.
