She was born April 1, 1937 in Donnybrook, North Dakota, to Samuel Blackwood and Hannah Cross.
She married Harvey Broderson on Oct. 16, 1963. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Survivors include three sons: Rick of Sekiu, Kenneth Bjorkheim, of Tacoma and Jeff, of Gig Harbor; three daughters: Debbie Bjorkheim Geary and Leone Broderson Dillon, both of Port Orchard, and Carolyn Bjorkheim Johanns, of Belfair; five sisters: Elizebeth Trueman, of Bremerton, Hazel Rostad, of Minot, ND, Florence Carlson, of Great Falls, MT, Helen Powers, of Kansas City, KS, and Myrtle Kurlmski, of Luvilia, IA; 12 grandchildren: Dawn, Elliot, Angie, Gabrial, Melonie, Ryan, Erin, DonAlyn, Alden, Mary, Abbie and Jason; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two daughters: Rhonda Lee Bjorkheim and Marilyn Walston; and a brother, Aurther Blackwood.
Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel on the Hill. A funeral service is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, also at Miller-Woodlawn.
