Jerry F. Waldner, 56, of Big Spring, died Monday, July 7, 2008, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Private family services will be held at a later date.




Jerry was born July 28, 1951, in Irquois, S.D., to Dora and Fred Waldner. He grew up on a farm and then moved to South Carolina to attend college. He married Bobbie Ann Jones, and to this marriage one son, Justin, was born.

Jerry moved to Big Spring in October 2005. He had worked in the steel industry and more recently in security and was also a truck driver.


Jerry is survived by his wife, Bobbie Waldner of Greenville, S.C.; one son, Justin and his wife Brandy of Charleston, S.C.; one brother, 12 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of South Dakota; and a very special long time friend, Mary Wylie of Big Spring.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Chris Waldner. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Pay your respects online at www.myersandsmith.com
