DIES AFTER TWO
MONTHS ILLNESS
Mrs. Emma S. Klotten, 91, widow of Albert G. Klotten of 164 South Main Street, died this morning at the Wothe Nursing Home, 76 Central Avenue, following an illness of about two months.
She was born December 13, 1857, in Hudson, the daughter of Lewis B. and Julia Benaway Fairbanks. She was a charter member of the Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of Grover Relief Corps 96.
Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Orson Cotanche and Mrs. Donald M. Collier, both of Cortland; three sons, Albert R. Klotten of Grand Pass, Ore.; Frank A. Klotten of Elbridge, and R. Earle Klotten of Cortland; a sister, Mrs. Mary A. Gallant, Detroit, Mich.; a brother, G. Arthur Fairbanks of Syracuse; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. James H. Eldridge, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 at the Beard Memorial Home.
