HENRY MALEY
One of the County's Most Prominent Citizens Dies at His Home in Edinburg.

Henry Maley died between eight and nine o'clock Monday night at his home in Edinburg, after a brief illness from kidney trouble. A few years ago he was seriously ill from a similar cause but apparently had recovered his health. The past two or three years he had grown strong and was one of the active workers on the building committee of the new Masonic hall at Edinburg in which he took great interest.

Mr. Maley was one of the wealthiest citizens of the county and had always been a prominent figure not only in his town's affairs but in this and adjoining counties. His milling interests were extensive and his acquaintance among business men and in commercial affairs wide. He was enterprising and a liberal supporter of every good enterprise. In his death the community loses a member that has been of great usefulness.

Mr. Maley was born in Germany March 18, 1841 and came with his parents when he was an infant to this country. They first settled in Shelby county and followed farming. In early life Mr. Maley went into the lumber business in which he was signally successful.

He leaves six children, namely, Will Maley, Indianapolis; Charles and Claude Maley, Evansville; Mrs. Maude Cutsinger, Evansville; Mrs. Alma Fiske and Mrs. John Graham.

Funeral services held Thursday afternoon at 3:00.
