For many years he operated a ship supply and general merchandise business in the Alley Building at Delmas Avenue and Frederick Street. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and a Mason.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Fails Funeral Chapel by the Rev Aubrey C. Walley pastor of First Methodist Church of Pascagoula. Interment was in Gautier Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Terry Lowman, Willie Alley, Travis Bennett, Nolan Hostur, George Hague and A. M. Pelham.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Lena Pelham Alley, Pascagoula; two daughters, Mesdames Annette Johnson, New Orleans and Odette Smith, College Station, Tex.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
