Willard Bean, section foreman for the Springfield & Southwestern railroad, died at the residence at 814 Division street at 11:35 p.m. Sept. 23, 1943. He had been in ill health for several months.

Mr. Bean, who was 57 years old, was born in Litchfield, Ky. on June 10, 1886.

He had resided in Springfield for 18 years.

He is survived by four brothers and six sisters.

Memorial services were held at Vancil funeral home (north side).

Interment in Irish Grove cemetery.
