Last Rites For Former Traill County Resident

Mrs. Carrie Anseth, 75, of 415 4th Ave W , Williston, N. D., passed away July 14. Services were held the 17th at Scandia Valley Lutheran Church; burial at the cemetery there near Bonetraill ND.

Carrie Oline Grimstvedt was born Oct. 30, 1882 in the Hillsboro-Blanchard vicinity, then Dakota Territory the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. O. J. Grimstvedt., pioneers of Traill County.

On June 21, 1905, she was married to Carl Nelson at Hillsboro and they homesteaded in Wllllams County. Her husband passed away Nov. 15, 1912.

She then operated her own ready to wear store until her marriage to John Hagbo at Williston ND on Nov 9, 1916. He died in 1921. After his death, she operated the Hagbo store at West Bonetraill until 1940 when she married Adolph Anseth of Bonetraill Nov. 18 1940 and moved into Williston her home since Mr. Anseth died June 3 1945.

Mrs. Anseth was a member of the Lutheran church the W.C.T.U. and the Pythian Sisters.

Two daughters, Mrs Clarence I (Mayme) Hinsverk and Mrs. Paull (Eleanor) Rodvold, both of Williston: two step daughters Mrs Robert (Clarice) Moorhead of Hanks N D., Mrs. Knute (Evelyn) Jacobson of Saco, Mont.. 15 grand children and 2 great grandchildren survive her. Three sisters, Mrs John (Tillie) Fossum of Westhope, N. D., Mrs. N J. (Millie) Nelson of Baudette, Minn., Mrs. John (Alma) Aronson, Halstad . Minn , and four brothers A. O. Grimstvedt, Oakland Calif., J.S. Grimstad, Tigard, Oregon; E. T. Grimstvedt of Minneapolis, Minn., and H. L. Grimstvedt of Williston, N. D. One son, one sister and three brothers also preceeded her in death.

Rev Peter Tengesdal and Rev. Alfred I. Rosgaard officiated.
