Opal Johnson of Mesa Towers Pueblo, passed away Feb. 15, 1986. graveside service, 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Imperial Memorial Gardens, Pueblo, with the Rev. Wesley Steinmetz officiaing. She was born in Fall River, Kansas on Nov. 27, 1913. Member of Brookside Eagles Auxiliary No. 3970 of Canon City. Survived by four daughters, Delpha C. Ireland, Colorado Springs, Lorene (Carl) James, Canon City, Cheryl (Hershel) Babbit, Pueblo, Nancy (Richard) Ward, Denver; three sons, Kalen (Carrol) Schlotterbeck, Denver, Wayne (Jeri) Johnson, colorado Springs and Kendall Leon Johnson, Burbank, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren. Also survived by three brothers, Hobart Book, Pueblo, Lester Book, Phoenix, Ariz., and Fred Book, Wichita, Kan.; three sisters, Agnes Shea, Washington, Hazel Graham, Fall River, Kan., and Stella Graham, Kansas; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by son, Russel Schlotterbeck, his wife and five children in November of 1964. Andrews Funeral Home, 422 Macon Canon City, Colo., 81212.
