Graveside funeral services for 55 year Big Pine resident James C. Horton, 82, will be held Monday, July 8 at the Big Pine Crocker Cemetery. Kevin Cortez will officiate. Mr. Horton was born in Potter, Arkansas on Sept. 16, 1913. He died July 4 at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop. Survivors include his sons: James (Kathy) Horton of Fish Lake Valley and Jerry (Judy) Horton of Big Pine; three granddaughters: Joia Bear of Big Pine, Jody Claunch of Boise, Idaho, and Mary Ann Horton of Fish Lake Valley; grandson Scott Horton of Fish Lake Valley; two great grandchildren Parker and Matt Bear; brother Argus Horton of Arkansas; and sister Lois Nennelee of Arkansas.
