Emory Brownlow was the 17-year-old son of Rev. Emory Vincent Jack Brownlow and Mae Brownlow. His father was minister of the Gould First Baptist Church at the time of his death. He and a group of friends were going on a picnic in the Brownlow family car and missed the bridge. The car was demolished. Emory Brownlow lived a few hours and then died. He was the only fatality.
