Margaret was born June 22, 1920, in rural Piatt County, the daughter of Ora V. and Jennie Adkins Alexander. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, James W. and Myrtle Adkins Salling. She married Charles Lumsden McIntosh on May 6, 1939, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Feb. 22, 1996.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Dale) Keith, Rogersville, Tenn., and Julia (Penny) Brown, Monticello; and sons, Jim (Ann) McIntosh and John (Diane) McIntosh, both of Monticello. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Wright, Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Charles William McIntosh; brother, Fred Alexander; and sister, Wilma Doris Alexander Maile.
Mrs. McIntosh was a bookkeeper for the McIntosh Implement store and farmed with her son.
