EAST WENATCHEE - Robbie L. Burnside, 83, a 41-year resident of East Wenatchee, died Monday, Feb. 6, 1995, in Highline Convalescent Center.
She was born Oct. 27, 1911, to Walter and Elizabeth Corrier at Elida, N.M. As a child she moved with her family to Miles City, Mont. Her family moved to Wenatchee in 1922, where she completed her schooling.
She moved to Montesano, where she lived until moving to the Methow Valley in 1929. She worked as a school bus driver for the Carlton School District and later as a telephone operator in Twisp.
She married Glen Burnside on April 6, 1950, at Wenatchee. They moved to Wenatchee in 1951.
They bought acreage in East Wenatchee in 1954 and built their home and planted an orchard. They operated the orchard together and replanted it twice when it froze out.
Mrs. Burnside had recently moved into the Highline Convalescent Center. She was a longtime member of the East Wenatchee First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, of East Wenatchee; and numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
