Services will be conducted at Centuries Funeral Home Chapel for Agatha Brooks Dodez, age 78, of Doyline, LA on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at 2 p.m. Officiating the services will be Rev. Eddie Sowders of Westlake Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. Dana Casey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until service time, and interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park.

Gay went to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2003. She was [a] long time resident of the Doyline area, and a member of Westlake Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Dan Dodez of Doyline, LA; daughter, Becky Stewart and husband, David of Natchitoches, LA; son, Mark Mitchell and wife, Tamela of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Ken Stewart and wife, Staci of Austin, TX, Ceseley Paar and husband, Scott of Houston, TX, Kevin Mitchell of Charlotte, NC, Wesley Mitchell of Birmingham, AL, Lars Mitchell of Atlanta, GA, and Trevor Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; and sisters: Hazel, Helen, Bertha, and Lucille.

"Maw-Maw" loved her family and friends, and most of all, had a great love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She devoted her life to serving her Lord and sharing His love to others in her kind, gentle, and unselfish manner. While we rejoice in her going Home, we will dearly miss our beloved Mom and Maw-Maw. The Dodez, Stewart, and Mitchell families would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Willis Knighton-Bossier Hospice Care Group.
