Mr. Carter was formerly employed by Lee Pickle as a concrete finisher. He was also later employed by the Fountain County Highway Department. He was a member of the Kingman Hilltoppers and Musician's Union of Danville. He was a lover of country gospel music playing first with the Rhythm Rangers and later with the Prairie Creek Ramblers. He also enjoyed visiting with friends on the CB radio going by the handle of Rhythm Ranger.
Surviving are: one aunt, Lola Spragg of the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville; a nephew, 2 nieces and Johnny Allen who was a good friend and music associate. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services were Wednesday June 27 at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with the Rev. Philip Huey officiating. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery east of Yeddo." – Wabash Valley Reporter, June 28, 1990
