Charlie Anderson, 83, of Nora passed away Tuesday, January 21, at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 23, from the Nora United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Heydenberk officiating. Burial will be in the Nora Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Leona; a daughter, Pauline Franzen of Ruskin; a sister, Mabel Korbelik of Nelson; two brothers, Bert Andersen (sic) of Edgar and William Sr. Andersen (sic) of Superior; two grandchildren.

Charlie Everett Anderson, son of Andrew K. and Bertha (Price) Anderson, was born on a farm near Oak, NE, May 14, 1908 and passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 8 days on January 21, 1992. He attended the Oak and Kelley Grade Schools.

March 29, 1941, he was united in marriage to Leona Lanham at Mankato, KS. To this union was born one daughter, Pauline Franzen. He farmed in the Oak and Nora vicinity until the age of 80 when he retired. Following his retirement from farming, he did woodworking at his home. Charlie was a member of the Nora Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one infant daughter Shirley; one brother, Clark; and sisters, Winifred Johnson and Lena Swanstrom.

Survivors are his wife, Leona; one daughter, Pauline and her husband, Rolland Franzen of Ruskin; two grandchildren, Lisa Franzen of Hastings and Richard Franzen of Milford; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Korbelik and her husband Frank of Nelson; two brothers, Bert and his wife, Gertrude of Edgar and William Sr. and his wife, Edith of Superior.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 23, 1992, at 2 p.m., from the Nora Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Heydenberk officiating. Music was provided by organist Ivan Schafer playing "Beyond the Sunset". Casketbearers were Marvin Lewis, Lonnie Jones, Warren Jeppesen, Steve Lipker, Mike Thayer and Jeff Scholl. Burial was in the Nora Cemetery. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements.
