Morris L. Higgins, passed away on July 2, 2008 in Gunnison.






He was born December 24, 1920 to John and Hulda Peterson Higgins in Brooklyn, Sevier County, Utah. He married Arta Sudweeks on November 1, 1940. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on May 3, 1957. She preceded him in death on May 2, 1998.





Morris is survived by his sons: Steven (Arleen) and Stanley (Kathy), both of Gunnison; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Wally, Richfield; sister, Ila Willden, Aurora. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Arta; brothers, Delbert, Marlin; sisters, Rosella Nay; Genevieve Shaw.





Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 12:00 noon in the Gunnison Stake Center (80 West Center Street). Friends may call on Sunday evening at the Stake Center from 6-8 p.m. and again Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery with Full Military Rites accorded by the Gunnison American Legion Post #104.
