DUNLAP -- Robert L. Pardieck , 66, of Dunlap died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 1995, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born July 17, 1929, in Peoria to George and Ella Volker Pardieck, he married Joan Anderson on Dec. 16, 1950, in Bishop Hill. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, one son, David, and one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Connie) Trent, all of Dunlap; and four grandchildren.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Monmouth College and his master's degree from Bradley University. He earned his doctorate degree from Western Colorado University.

He taught in the Dunlap School District. He was director of placement and related positions in career development at Bradley University for 28 years. He retired in 1991. In 1990, he received the Bradley University Francis Mergen Award for outstanding service to the community.

He was a charter member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dunlap, where he was a lay minister. He received synodical commissioning in 1985. He served as congregational chairman and in other positions at the church.

He served for many years as a trustee for the village of Dunlap and was a member of the Dunlap Board of Education.

He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and remained active in scouting as an adult.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at his church. The Rev. Del Knack will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Wilton Mortuary in Peoria and one half-hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap.

Memorials may be made to Bradley University or to his church.
