WHITLEY -- Walter F. WHITLEY, 62, of 414 27th St., died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday at Cobb Memorial Hospital [Phenix City, Russell County, AL] after an illness of several days. Mr. WHITLEY as born Oct. 20, 1897, son of the late John T. & Lizzie Bell CLARK WHITLEY. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sadie WATKINS WHITLEY, Columbus; a brother, C. L[ester] WHITLEY, Columbus, a sister, Mrs. Reginald FARMER, Phenix City, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday from Britton & Dobbs Chapel, Columbus, with the Rev. J. F. ALEWINE, pastor Summerville Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow int eh Russell Cemetery, Midland, Ga. The following will serve as pallbearers, Ronald D.
