William Harrison Bowman was born November 18,1832 in Fairfield County, Ohio and died March 10, 1907 in Laclede County, Missouri.
He moved to Shelby County, Illinois in 1851 and then to Laclede County, Missouri in 1882, living on the same farm the rest of his life.
He was united in marriage on Mar. 29, 1860
to Lydia Ann Smith in Shelby County, Illinois, enjoying forty- eight years of married life.
Eleven children were born to this union, four dying in infancy.

He leaves his wife, Lydia, three sons and four daughters to mourn his loss.
Mr.Bowman had been in poor health for the past two years.

Funeral services were held at Grange Hall with Rev. J.H. Prichett, pastor of ME Church officiating.
Burial was in Liberty-Grange Hall Cemetery.

There was a large attendance of family and friends.
The community lost a good citizen.
