Ren Nix Wilde, 73, died Saturday, July 19, 1997, at his home.
He was born September 2, 1923, in Coalville, Utah, to Charles Ernest and Della Nix Wilde. On January 7, 1946, he married Verda Marie Crittenden in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Ren was a member of the LDS Church, Hoytsville 2nd Ward, and had held numerous positions including a member of the bishopric and as Sunday school president. He attended North Summit schools and had worked for Dairy King Milk Tanks and Browns Dairy. He was also a lifetime farmer and had served as president of Wanship Livestock and Range Co.
Surviving are his wife of Coalville; one son and three daughters, David Elliot (Debbie) Wilde, Coalville; Rita (Ted) Holtry, Ogden; Wendy Kay (John) Vickers, Magna; Elaine (Mike) Willis, Murray; 14 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and two sisters, Owen Wilde and Carl 'Kelly' Wilde, both of Coalville; Verl Wilde, Holladay; May Lewis, Marion; Walden Wilde, Holladay; and Eileen Richins, Henefer.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Myrtle Matthews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 1997, at 12 noon in the Hoytsville 2nd Ward Chapel with Bishop Wade Judd officiating. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Coalville, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Coalville Cemetery.
