Jamie Ike Bass, 73 of Rt. 5, Andalusia, died Thursday Feb. 9, in a local hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Carolina Church with the Rev. Al Jackson and the Rev. Fred Hunt officiating, with the burial in the church cemetery. Foreman’s directed.
A retired farmer, Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cleo Bass, Rt 5, Andalusia; five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Huckabaa, Rt. 5, Andalusia, Mrs. Christine Smith, Mrs. Voncile Blackwell and Mrs. Betty Huckabaa, all of Andalusia and Mrs. Elmira Holt, Montgomery; one son, Julius Bass, Andalusia; 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Arie Adams, Mrs. Eva Rodgers, Mrs. Thelma Henderson, all of Andalusia and Mrs. Edith Ott, Houston, Texas; four brothers, Clayton, Leon Clarence and J. D. Bass, all of Andalusia.
Phillip Henderson, W. J. Selwyn, James E. Padgett, Lloyd Smith, Raymond T. Harrelson and Jessie Beckworth were pallbearers.
