Carol Frances Alexander, 73, passed on to be with the Lord on March 11th, 2007.

She was born on Sept 2, 1933 to Merl and Alta Work Millican in Martensdale, Iowa. She married Albert Alexander on March 10, 1951 and celebrated 56 years of wedded bliss. They moved to Truro and she worked for Dr. Miles of St. Charles for many years before moving to Polk City where she worked for Dean Hauschildt in the insurance business until her retirement. She was an avid bridge player playing with the same group since 1960. She was also an enthusiastic fan of girls softball following Interstate 35 and the North Polk teams long after her girls were graduated. She and Albert began traveling to Texas after retirement and relocated there in 2005.

She is survived by her husband Albert of Burkburnett, Texas. Four children, Doug (Judy) Alexander of Fairfield, Iowa, Pam Alexander of Wichita Falls, Tx, John (Laura) Alexander of Rockport, Tx, Becky (Jack) Stine of Burkburnett, Tx. She also leaves 7 grandchildren Jeff Alexander of Fairfield, Chris and Matt Alexanderof Iowa City, Melissa and Mike Alexander of Ottumwa, and Brett and Grant Stine of Burkburnett. Four great-grandchildren are Joey, Jacob, Joshua, and Ashlynne Alexander of Fairfield. One brother, Robert Millican of DesMoines. She also leaves a "daughter" Annette Pommeraning from Frankfurt, Germany who was a foreign exchange student in the home. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gerald Millican.
