AMORY - Demit Lee "Big D" Dilworth,61, died Monday, December 18, 2000, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was 32nd degree Mason and Worshipful Master of the local Masonic Lodge in Amory. He was a graduate of West Amory High School,where he was a standout football player and a three year letterman of the West Amory Wildcats.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Marquette Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory. Darden and Sons FUneral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his father, Kermit Dilworth of Aberdeen his stepmother, Madie Sue Dilworth of ABerdeen;one son, Patrick Howard of Amory;three brothers, Derbert Lee Dilworth of Biloxi, Rev. Kermit Dilworth Jr. of Columbus and Frank Howard Dilworth of Dallas,Texas;one sister Denise Wilson of Gary Ind.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services.
