Arthur Allen Presson, 93, of Rector, died Friday, April 14, 2006, at Rector Healthcare.
Born Oct. 13, 1912, in Lemoresville, Tenn., to the late G.B. and Willie Presson, he was retired from Pacific Pipeline and of the Baptist faith.

He also was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Russell and William Presson.

Survivors include his wife, Earlene Presson of Rector; two sons, Allen Presson of Menahga, Minn., and Dennis Presson of Rector; one daughter, Gail Collins of Cedar Park, Texas; three step-daughters, Lenda Pezza of Toms River, N.J., Jacqulene Reddick of Little Rock and Pamela Crowson of Jonesboro; a half sister, Ruth Rhodes of Caruthersville, Mo., 11 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 16, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Charles Carrens officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Brett Crowson, Niel Crowson, Ryan Presson, Brian Reddick, Ed Reddick and Wayne Rowton.
