Lois L. Blacksher, of Mauriceville, Texas, died September 6, 1990, at St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

She was born on February 17, 1917, in Orange County, Texas, to Jessie J. Bean and Ora Lee (Cooper) Bean.

Funeral services were held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas, with burial at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange County, Texas, under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.

Lois will always be rememberd for her love and devotion to her family. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her family and her many friends, will miss her so very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Jurdon Bean and Ora Cooper Bean; sister, Hester Bean; brother, Hershel (Tubby) Bean; and her special and beloved Uncle and Aunt, Lloyd and Lessie Cooper.

She is survived by her husband Buford C. Blacksher of Mauriceville, Texas; daughter Kay Charlotte Shannon and husband Joe Jr. of Mauriceville, Texas; son Keve Cooper Blacksher and wife, Judy of Newton, Texas; Five grandsons, Joseph Franklin Shannon III, Timothy Alan Shannon, George Leonard Shannon, Keve Cooper Blacksher, Jr., and Gary Michael Blacksher.
