Funeral Services Wednesday For Sam Bournias
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 17, 4:00 P.M. at the Methodist
Church in Teague for Sam Bill Bournias, 44.
Bournias died Tuesday, Feb. 16, in the City Hospital in Teague. He was born
Nov. 10, 1915 in New Braunfels, Texas.
He was affiliated with the Methodist Church in Teague. He was a railroad
engineer and a member of Boggy Lodge No. 739 AF & AM.
Officiating was Rev. Jewel McClure, pastor of the First Methodist Church.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Ham Bros. Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Cain Bournias, one son, Sam Bill Bournias,
Teague; one daughter, Mrs. James Ralph Kitchens and one grandson James Ralph
Kitchens Jr., of Fort Worth; his mother, Mrs Bill Bournias, Navasota; two
sisters, Mrs. Philip Arhos, Bryan; and Mrs. A. J. Paras, North Palm Beach,
Florida.
